Week Three EOC

I think that Americans should have a strong dollar because it means American citizens and businesses can get more foreign goods and services for the same amount of money. An example why the dollar should be stronger is, an American citizen could bring like $1,000 to France, and buy more there than she/he could here in the U.S. This matters because imports are usually paid for in the currency of the country doing the importing. Consequently, America as a whole tends to import far more goods and services than it exports for however long the dollar is stronger than the currencies of the nations we trade with.
A stronger dollar whose prospects are for greater future strength attracts foreign investment. A strong dollar is good for our standard of living over the long term.
Thought there are some negative aspect on whether a stronger dollar is good at this time in our life, and yes it does have its negative views as well especially during this recession time the U.S. is having.
All in all a stronger dollar lets the consumer as well as anyone buying overseas the ability to get something for less if it is manufactured, or comes from a foreign country.

Week Two EOC

The two experiences that I encountered, good and bad were with the BMW dealership, but they were two different dealerships. My bad experience was the BMW dealership here in Las Vegas. It was the dealership that is off of Sahara. I was on the North side of town at the moment and noticed I was out of washer fluid. Usually I go to the BMW dealership in Henderson because that one is on my side of town, but hey I was only a few miles away from the one off Sahara. Getting washer fluid takes about 5 minutes or less; quick and easy process. So I pull up to BMW, park my car and walk into the “Service Car” part of the BMW dealership. They didn’t seem busy at all. Walked up to the secretary and told her exactly what I needed. She told me to hold on and she would grab one of the guys to help me out. So I sat and waited patiently. After 15 minutes of waiting I decided to go peek through the window where the employs sit and consult with you about issues and things needed done for your car. Only a few of them had costumers, but there were at least 4 that didn’t were not doing anything. So I decided to walk into that room and ask one of the gentlemen politely to help me out. The response I got was “mam’ I’ll be right with you, we are sort of busy right now!” I looked around and there really wasn’t anyone there but only 2 or 3 costumers. So I waited a bit longer, and still no help. I returned to the guy I asked help from, and he just walked away from me. I waited until he returned and I asked him how much longer, he got all frustrated with me and rolled his eyes, and was like “what was it you needed?” I got mad at him because I had at least waited for 45 minutes patiently. I just told him to forget it, and to realize he just lost a costumer. I figured since I was young, and not a pushy mean adult that he could just blow me off, and just not give me great costumer service, and also assumed I would not give a complaint. But sad news for him I did!

As for my good experience, it was at the BMW dealership in Henderson. After I left the Sahara dealership, I went to the one by my place. They had always been good to me since day one. After I told them about my experience at Sahara BMW, they wrote me a letter of apology, even thought it was not their dealerships fault for the bad service I received, and for 6 months they gave be free deals of certain types of service I may needed done for my car. It’s always nice returning to them whenever I have issues with my car because they are always willing to attend to me right away, and help in any way they can.

Week One EOC

"Photography," when many people hear that all they think of is just grabbing a camera and taking a simple picture. Yes that is partially true, but photography takes skill, patients, and creativity. Photography probably takes a lot more than those three words, but for me that’s what I believe it all comes down to. You have to have the skill to understand every part, functions, and details about your camera, as well as understanding the concept of lighting. You have to have patients with your clients; patients while taking your pictures so you can capture that right moment, and at the right time. And last but not least, you must be creative when choosing what you want to photograph, how you want to photograph your subject, and how you may want to capture someone’s eye into liking your work. At the moment I am currently attending school for photography. My area of interest in the field of photography, is weddings photography and fashion photography. I am always open to other types of photography. I could never pass up a great opportunity when one is offered or given to me. Opportunities will help me gain a more rounded understanding of all types of photography. My ideal future goal is to show people that there is more than just having a "Kodak" moment. I want to show people through my photos that there is an art in any type of picture you take, and there are reasons for taking a picture a certain way.
