Week Three EOC

I think that Americans should have a strong dollar because it means American citizens and businesses can get more foreign goods and services for the same amount of money. An example why the dollar should be stronger is, an American citizen could bring like $1,000 to France, and buy more there than she/he could here in the U.S. This matters because imports are usually paid for in the currency of the country doing the importing. Consequently, America as a whole tends to import far more goods and services than it exports for however long the dollar is stronger than the currencies of the nations we trade with.
A stronger dollar whose prospects are for greater future strength attracts foreign investment. A strong dollar is good for our standard of living over the long term.
Thought there are some negative aspect on whether a stronger dollar is good at this time in our life, and yes it does have its negative views as well especially during this recession time the U.S. is having.
All in all a stronger dollar lets the consumer as well as anyone buying overseas the ability to get something for less if it is manufactured, or comes from a foreign country.
